Materazzi: “A big club I would like to manage? I would like to say Inter but…”

Ahead of Chennaiyin FC’s Indian Super League opener against Atletico de Kolkata on Saturday, CFC coach and World Cup winner Marco Materazzi had this to say about his team and his own journey as a manager.

On pre-season in Perugia:"The most important thing in the pre-season was for the players to get to know each other. All players did well there, but if I had to pick out one player who excelled, I would say Bruno (Pelissari)".

On playing in ISL-2: "We have good quality in the team this year. I don’t see any reason for me to be needed on the field."

On the European giant he would like to manage: "I would like to say Inter (Milan, his former club) but you know if I am at Chennaiyin for even 10 years, that feat wouldn’t be any less".
