I tifosi hanno contestato anche il prezzo dell'abbonamento dell'Arsenal, troppo alto dato gli insuccessi: "Abbonamento all'Arsenal, 1450 sterline, abbonamento al Bayern, 350 sterline: Bayern-Arsenal 10-2". Non è mancato poi il messaggio di addio al francese: "Wenger, grazie per i ricordi, ma è tempo di dirci addio".
